Sodium salicylate

8-(2-Hydroxybenzamido) sodium has a relative average molecular weight of 301.31 and is an absorption enhancer for dicarbophosphate compounds, which is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, especially for gastrointestinal diseases caused by malabsorption of dicarbophosphate compounds. It is an oral absorption enhancer with potential as a delivery agent for oral forms of heparin and insulin.
