1. Product Description

Sorbitol sorbitan solution is a colorless clear syrup-like liquid. It is an acid-catalyzed partially internally dehydrated sorbitol solution, wherein the anhydrate is not less than 68.0 (g/g) and not more than 85.0 (g/g). The anhydrate mainly includes D-sorbitol and 1,4-sorbitan, as well as mannitol, hydrogenated oligosaccharides and disaccharides, and sorbitan. This product is calculated as anhydrous and contains D-sorbitol (C₆H₁₄O₆) shall not be less than 25.0%(g/g),1,4-sorbitan (C₆H₁₂O₅) shall not be less than 15.0 (g/g); Contains D-sorbitol (C₆H₁₄O₆) and 1,4-Yamantan (C₆H₁₂O₅) shall be 95% ~ 105 of the marked value.

PlasticizerSPIThe excellent plasticizing effect of sorbitol sorbitan solution can shorten the capsule drying time and inhibit blooming. The use of sorbitol sorbitan solution NF and sorbitol sorbitan sorbitan solution MDF 85 can prevent the external migration of capsule contents and the internal migration of water, and are ideal excipients for low-moisture formulations. In oily or lipophilic fillings, the addition of SPI sorbitol sorbitan solution can significantly reduce the drying time compared to the use of glycerol as plasticizer. The dosage of this product in soft capsules is about 20%-50%, and the drying time of soft capsules can be significantly reduced by adjusting the addition ratio appropriately. Sorbitol sorbitan solution can be used with glycerin to reduce or eliminate the incompatibility caused by glycerin alone. Sorbitol Sorbitan Glycerin Premix A- 810 is suitable for daily use, it is a premix of Sorbitan Sorbitan Solution NF and Glycerin (USP) in an approximate 1:1 ratio. The use of this convenient and practical premix can reduce the overall cost of the preparation, and because of the addition of sorbitol sorbitan plasticizer, it can reduce the drying time of soft capsules and prevent the occurrence of migration.
