Triethanolamine

Triethanolamine is a colorless to slightly yellow viscous clear liquid, which is very soluble in water or ethanol, and soluble in dichloromethane. Similar to other amines, triethanolamine is weakly alkaline due to the presence of lone pairs of electrons on the nitrogen atom, and can react with inorganic acids or organic acids to generate salts, commonly used as emulsifiers and pH regulators.
