Detailed introduction

1. Product Description

Sorbitan trioleate, also known as Span 85, is chemically named (Z,Z,Z)-tri-9-octadecenoic acid sorbitan ester, with a relative average molecular mass of 957.49. It is a biodegradable surfactant and is a yellow to amber viscous oily liquid at room temperature. Almost insoluble in ethanol, ethyl acetate, petroleum ether and toluene, insoluble in water. With emulsification, stability, lubrication and other properties, there is a small HLB value (1.8), so the lipophilicity is strong, hydrophilic is weak, and polyoxyethylene derivatives, especially Tween 80 combined use, can efficiently form (water-in-oil) type emulsifier, but also O/W type auxiliary emulsifier.
