Phosphatidylcholine is a group of oily substances, mostly present in animal and plant tissues and egg yolk. Phosphatidylcholine is an important component of cell membranes, alveolar surfactants, lipoproteins and bile, and is essential for the maintenance of liver and brain function, lipid metabolism and transport, cell membrane signaling, cell composition and repair.
