1. Product Description

Cholesterol, also known as cholesterol, relative average molecular mass of 386.65, a derivative of cyclopentane polyhydrophenanthrene, cholesterol is widely present in animals, especially in the brain and nerve tissue is the most abundant, in the kidney, spleen, skin, liver and bile content is also high. Its solubility is similar to fat, insoluble in water, soluble in ether, chloroform and other solvents. Cholesterol is an indispensable important substance in animal tissues and cells. It not only participates in the formation of cell membranes, but also is the raw material for the synthesis of bile acids, vitamin D and steroid hormones. Cholesterol can also be converted into bile acids, steroid hormones, 7-dehydrocholesterol, and 7-dehydrocholesterol can be converted into vitamin D3 by ultraviolet irradiation, so cholesterol is not harmful to human body.

It was incorporated into animal feed to study the effects of a cholesterol-rich diet.
