Glyceryl tricaprylate

Three caprylic acid glycerol ester, chemical name: capric acid -1,2, 3-glycerol ester, is a clear light yellow oily liquid, the relative average molecular weight of 470.682, soluble in ethanol and other most organic solvents, insoluble in water. It is widely used in the preparation of liposome drugs. In multivesicular liposomes, glyceryl tricaprylate is used as both the support point between vesicles and the lubricant between vesicles.
