1. Product Description

Benzyl benzoate , also known as benzoic acid benzyl ester, the relative average molecular mass of 212.244. Benzyl benzoate, a component of Peruvian gum, is found naturally in Peruvian balsam, tuberose, carnation and turu balsam. This product is a colorless transparent oily liquid, with a light almond-like aroma, spicy taste. It is a good non-aqueous solvent, miscible with chloroform, ethanol, ether, slightly soluble in propylene glycol, almost insoluble in glycerin and water. It is mainly used as solvent, solubilizer and plasticizer in pharmaceutical preparations. clinically usedScabiesIt is also used for body lice, head lice and pubic lice.

Used as spices in food and cosmetics, mainly used as a solvent for artificial musk, vanillin and other spices, a fixative for floral flavors and a blend of ylang ylang and other flavors.

Solvent, solubilizer:Benzyl benzoate with a concentration of 0.01-6.0 can be used as a solubilizer and non-aqueous solvent for intramuscular injection. Fulvestrant injection, hydroxyprogesterone caproate injection and estradiol valerate injection all use benzyl benzoate as solubilizer.

Plasticizer:Benzyl benzoate acts as a solvent and plasticizer for cellulose and nitrocellulose.

preparation of nano capsule powder:Benzyl benzoate can be used to prepare nanocapsule powder by spray drying method.

sustained release drug delivery system:In the phospholipid/mixed solvent/oil system, the phospholipid content is not more than 50%, the content of benzyl benzoate is not less than 10%, and the rest is oil. The obtained mixture is used for the sustained-release drug delivery system of local anesthetics such as bupivacaine or ropivacaine free base.
